Your data in ARYA.

What the ARYA app processes, why, who sees it, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. Version of 12 October 2026.

Who processes your data

Your association keeps its ledger in ARYA: it is the controller of your data. Orbit Technologies SARL (RCCM CM-DLA-02-2026-B13-00929, NIU M092618960804C, Douala, Cameroon) provides and hosts ARYA on its behalf, and uses your data only to run the service.

The data we process

Your identity: surname, first name, photo if you add one, member number, language, country of residence.
Your contact details: your phone number, which is also your Mobile Money payment number, and your email if you give it.
Your life in the association: offices and terms, attendance, contributions, savings, loans, pots received, penalties and fines, requests, votes and proxies.
Your phone: a device identifier and a security key. Your fingerprint or face never leave your phone: ARYA never receives them.
Technical records: sign-in dates and the operations log, for security and proof.

The camera and photo library are used only for your profile picture and the association’s emblem, when you choose to add one.

Why

To keep the association’s ledger and meetings, and work out what each member pays, owes and receives.
To inform you, by notification, SMS or email.
To collect and pay out through Mobile Money.
To issue statements and certificates that can be checked by QR code.
To invoice the association’s subscription.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. ARYA contains no ads and no advertising trackers.

Who sees it

The association’s committee, for what its duties require.
Other members do not see your accounts; they see what happens at meetings, such as who receives a pot.
Someone you show a certificate to can check its content with its code.
Our providers, each for its own task only: SMS (the sending operator of the association’s country), emails and hosting, Mobile Money (payment aggregators, MTN and Orange).

Where it is kept

Your data is hosted in the United Kingdom. Any transfer outside Cameroon complies with Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data. Exchanges between the app and the server are encrypted.

How long

An association’s ledger is evidence shared by all its members: your operations are kept for as long as the association uses ARYA, then 10 years. Sign-in records are kept 12 months.

Your rights

Access your data: most of it is already in the app (My situation, My accounts, My papers).
Have it corrected; an opening balance taken over when ARYA arrived can be disputed from the app.
Object to processing and withdraw your consent at any time.

Delete your access and your data

Your ARYA account is opened by your association, not in the app. To close it, write to arya@orbit-tech.net from your number or stating it, or ask your association’s committee. We reply within 30 days.

Deleted: your phone is deactivated and its security key erased; your photo, your email and your preferences are deleted.
Kept: ledger entries (contributions, loans, pots…) cannot be erased, because they also bind the other members and prove the association’s accounts. They are kept for the period above, then deleted.

You remain a member of your association without the app: the committee records your operations for you and sends you a summary of each meeting by SMS. You can come back whenever you wish by asking the committee for a new code.
